Lori Bookstein Fine Art is pleased to present Heads, a group exhibition of artists who have used the head as the basis for formal or conceptual investigation in painting, work on paper, print, and sculpture. Heads will exhibit selections by 49 artists and will include works by American Modernists, second generation New York School artists and contemporary artists. Highlights of the show include a 1908 carved head of a woman by Elie Nadelman, a 1963 painting of a head in profile by William Bailey, and a rare portrait by Jan Müller executed just before the artist's death. Heads will be on exhibit through February 18, 2012. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10:30 to 6.
