Biography

Betsy Kaufman was born in 1957 in San Francisco, California. She attended Hampshire College before earning her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design. She has held regular solo shows with Leslie Tonkonow Artworks + Projects over the last two decades in addition to her inclusion in numerous group exhibitions including those at Pace, Venus Over Manhattan, Minus Space and Kerry Schuss Gallery. Her work is included in numerous private and public collections including Staatsgalerie Stuttgart, Stuttgart, Germany and the Sheldon Museum of Art, Lincoln, Nebraska. The artist lives and works in New York.
